06.07.24 Week in Review
From cheeky needlepoint coasters to a posture-improving sports bra and a meaningful poem: Here's a roundup of links and things that caught my eye this week.
Happy Friday! I hope everyone is having a wonderful week. It’s crazy to me that it’s officially June. Hello, summer!
My family was in town this past weekend (again…weren’t they they just here?! Yes, ha!) I always love when I have family or friends in town but also…as much as I love them..it is also nice when they leave (ha!) so I can get back into my regular routine. (I really am such a routine person…anyone else? I thrive when I have a organized calendar and mostly know what to expect from my day.)
So, as always, I’m popping in with my weekly post to share some of my favorite things—from a great makeup setting spray to a chic watch, and more.
xo,
Nan

I can’t say enough good things about this well-priced athletic dress!
I’ve mentioned it a few times on Instagram stories in the past few weeks and people seem to be as excited about it as I am, because a lot of you have ordered it! I own it in both black and navy (white is sold out in my size but once it’s back, I plan to order it to wear for tennis). It has both a built-in bra and built-in shorts, so it really is the perfect summer dress to throw on and go!
Sizing note: I find this dress runs a bit big, so I order down one from my true size. Meaning that instead of a XL, I get a size large. I get the tall version (I’m 5′11″) but it also comes in a regular length and a petite length.
Style:
I keep looking at these green shorts from Toteme.
I’m not typically a shorts gal but have been reaching for them a bit more often this spring/summer. Plus, I just love all things green, so I’m feeling tempted…!
Speaking of shorts - I am loving this black denim pair and this very well- priced(!) ecru denim pair.
Have we all seen the Instagram ads of Taylor Swift wearing the sports bra that is supposed to improve your posture?
I feel like I was getting targeted by the ad nonstop and then I saw my friend Julia also suggested the bra, so I was sold and quickly placed an order. I’ve only worn it once so don’t have a full review to share yet, but stay tuned. It is expensive for a sports bra but I will do anything to try to improve my posture (because sitting at a computer all day certainly doesn’t help!)
Last summer, on of my go-to pairs of pajamas was a seersucker nightgown from Lake. It was so lightweight but still soft and the stripes felt perfect for summer. I just saw that they just re-released the nightgown and it’s now offered in a pretty navy and white stripe. (I’d suggest ordering your true size in this, no need to size up.)
You’ve have probably seen me share my March Hare watch on Instagram. I bought it maybe four or six months ago and have been so happy with it. It’s chic, classic, great for travel and much more reasonably priced than designer watches.
Promo code: The team at March Hare kindly gave me a discount code to share! Use code NAN20 for 20% off sitewide.
I have the Kimsey Double Wrap Watch with gold hardware and a brown strap in the long strap length. (I have a bigger wrist so I was thrilled to see they offer to strap length options!!)
My mom also ended up buying one of their watches after she saw mine… she has the Kimsey Watch with gold hardware and a black strap in the standard strap length.
Reminder: you can find all my discount codes HERE — hopefully these are a great way for you to save some $$ when you shop, and they’re also a helpful way for a brand to know I sent you their way.
Beauty:
I’ve seen a few people mention hair clips from Undo… I caved and recently ordered three to try. With all the fun colors they offer, it was too hard to choose just one!
I placed a Sephora order this week to restock some of my favorite go-to products including this concealer (I wear shade KTown), this makeup setting spray and this tinted SPF moisturizer (I wear shade 3.) And of course, I couldn’t simply pick up the three things I was meant to be shopping for, so I also ordered this Liquid Bronzer and this Eye Makeup Remover to try.
Needlepoint:
These cheeky coasters are always everyone’s favorite. The canvas design is by Wipstich Needleworks and should be available at any local needlepoint shop.
Decor:
I moved a few things around in my apartment this past weekend (upholstered chairs from one room to another, hanging some artwork, etc.) when my parents were visiting. I am shocked by how refreshing and nice it is to change things up!
A while back, I ordered this belt storage container to try to get things a bit more organized in my closet and it has been SO helpful! I just ordered a second one (is that a sign that I own too many belts?)
Life in NYC
My parents were in town for a few days so we had to head down to the West Village to get breakfast as our favorite spot. (We had a reservation via Resy but sometimes you can just walk in and get a table if it is early enough.)
Afterword we popped into the AirMail store and the newly opened NY outpost for Nickey Kehoe.

My instagram friend Lauren (@thecattspjs) is a total ray of sunshine! I always love everything she shares - from Bravo TV commentary, to the best Amazon sunglasses or summer sundresses, to just the reality of the ups and downs of life. Lauren shared this poem by Hannah Ro and it struck a nerve // seemed to resonate with my feelings lately.
And that is it from me today; I hope you all have a wonderful weekend! xo
I’ve been loving the ease of the lake nightgown!! so great for summer!!
Very excited to hear your review on the sports bra. Your recommendations are always spot on and I could use something that actually works.
