A Few Quick Things // Volume 02
A new eye serum, Hill House promo code, reading updates, recent purchases and more!
Stockholm & Norway
As you might have seen on Instagram I just got back from a wonderful vacation in Norway and Stockholm. I went with my bff (my mom, Toto, as we call her on instagram.) If I had to pick one location, I think I liked Stockholm (Sweden) a bit more then our time in Norway but that might be because I am more of a city gal.
I want to write a full substack post on the trip, our itinerary and the hotels (so stay tuned for that) but in the meantime:
I saved my Instagram stories into a Highlight
shared this reel about Norway
this post about our time in Stockholm
this video about my purchases!! (shop those items here.)
A New Eye Serum
As you know, I have a pretty simple skincare routine; years ago I used to do countless steps but in time I have realized that a simplified 2-3 step routine works best for my skin. During this process I have learned that while eye cream is not exactly necessary (generally what you use on the rest of your face can work in your eye area) it is a step that I like to have in my routine just to give that area a little extra love and nourishment. For the past two weeks I have been trying out this new eye serum. And so far, I’ve enjoyed it and I plan to keep using it daily! It’s lightweight, hydrating and doesn’t irritate my sensitive eyes.

20% Off Hill House
I am so excited to share that I the team at Hill House gave us an exclusive discount code for a limited time. This feels fun and special as I have never had a promo code from them and I am such a fan and customer of the brand!
code: NAN20 for 20% off all full-priced items from now till May 24th
If only I had the code two weeks ago when I bought this dress (I sized up to a XXL) and this skirt (I ordered my usual XL) from their summer collection. Stay tuned for a try on of these pieces soon (I just have not had a chance to try them since getting back home!)
READING:
I just started Pink Sand Summer by Chassity Evans (I am maybe 50 pages in) and I am really enjoying it — it feels like a perfect summer beach read (that makes me want to book a trip to Harbour Island!)
I also recently downloaded Dogs, Boys, and Other Things I’ve Cried About on Audible so I hope to start that soon. (I love following the author, Isabel Klee, on instagram!)
LISTENING:
Yesterday I listented to Danielle Moss’s podcast episode with Elisabeth Edelman about her experience being a single mom by choice. I really liked Elisabeth’s perspective and positive mindset!
After I finished reading Yesteryear I did my usual internet deep dive into the author. (This seems to always happen to me after I finish a great book.) I found out that the author, Caro Claire Burke, is a co-host of a popular podcast, Diabolical Lies. I have been working my way through their episode catalog, the episodes are long but good (and thought provoking.)
On my flight back from Stockholm I listened to three episodes of the Kale In My Teeth podcast - my favorite episode was this episode with Dr. Amy Wechsler and Zoe Wechsler, the mother-daughter team who founded Spotless Clinics (a acne clinic that I RAN too the other week when I had a bad pimple. $100 + one steroid shot later…I left very impressed and suspect I will surely be to be a return customer.)
BUYING:
Yesterday I ordered this pair of linen shorts with a longer-ish inseam (4.5 inch) that I hope might work for me. Generally I find shorts to be hard…but fingers crossed! (I sized up to a XXL)
I bought these simple black leather sandals that I have been eyeing for a while and they seem nice after simply trying them on at home. I need to wear them out and about for a full wear test. (I bought my usual size 42.)
I finished a container of my favorite detoxifying shampoo and quickly ordered a restock!
RETURNING:
No returns as of late. (So I guess that is a win!!)
EYEING & SCREENSHOTTING:
I really can’t buy anymore raffia bags but that has not stopped me from screenshotting this chic style from Loewe multiple times…
I also really like the look of this simpler raffia tote!
Also, this raffia clutch is a new addition to my wishlist. So classic and elegant!
I love the look of this chic and elevated sea shell print on this navy dress.
These gingham napkins that are currently on SALE!
Speaking of gingham - how cute are these drawstring gingham shorts? I love that they are offered in three different lengths (I would buy the 5” length.)
I texted my mom about how cute this kids beach coverup was and that she should get it for my niece.
I love a good v-neck cut on a blouse so I am intrigued/tempted by this crisp poplin style (I would surely need a tank underneath it.) I like it in the brown color way.
This is another good v-neck blouse I also have bookmarked (I would buy in white.)
I don’t own anything from Pucci but the green colors in this scarf caught my eye!
The podcast launches TOMORROW!
Another substack post will be coming your way tomorrow morning with more details of where and how to listen.
As always, thank you for being here. xo Nan

Loving the green Pucci. So fun!
