New & Noteworthy // 03.23.2025
Chatting about what is currently on my radar: a new TV show, an easy-to-use lip liner, chic silver-plated tumblers, and more!
Happy Sunday! I hope you are having a nice weekend. Itt is hard to believe that it is already the end of March?!
As always, I am back with this week’s edition of New & Noteworthy, a column where I highlight some recent favorite items, from beauty products to decor finds, and share about some great sales and new arrivals.
Until next time, xo

DECOR
I think my favorite part of interior design is often the final touches, the small decorative items, be it picture frames, tabletop, small collectibles, or whatnot. But, because I am in the midst of the renovation of my New York apartment, I have told myself that I really should not buy any decorative items for the space until I move back in. To be frank — it’s hard for me to hold off on shopping for decor…but I am trying! (I have to save all my $$ for the construction, the furniture, rugs, fabric, etc.…it all ADDS UP!)
If I were in the market for some chic decor, I would be placing an order from Esencial Hogar.
I came across the (new to me) brand on Instagram, and everything they sell is so chic; I especially love their silver-plated tabletop items.
BEAUTY
Do you all use a lip liner? I find people tend to ALWAYS use a lip liner or never use it.
I fall into the camp of someone who loves a lip liner - I don’t use it to over line my lips the way you might see some celebrities use a liner. Instead, I simply love a lip liner for the way it can give your lips a more defined edge. I also just find lip liner often serves as a great base for additional lip products.
Merit Beauty (a brand I have worn for years!) launched new Lip Liners and corresponding Lip Glosses this week.
I received an early sample of both products and can say they are lovely!
Instead of the chalky feel most lip liners tend to have, the Merit Signature Lip Liner is more hydrating and lightweight, allowing it to easily glide across your lips. The product is slightly sheer, which I think makes it a great option for anyone who is new to lip liner; the application is really hard to mess up!
I suggest the shade Beverly Hills.
If you are interested in trying a few other Merit products - I also love their Lip Gloss in Pink Beet, their Lipstick in Millennial, and their Complexion Stick in Silk.

READING & WATCHING
I started watching Long Bright River on Peacock this week.
The show centers around a female police officer (played by Amanda Seyfried) who patrols the streets of a Philadelphia neighborhood in the midst of an opioid crisis, all while a new string of murders begins to take place.
The show is certainly not a rom-com or lighthearted, but if you can handle a show with dark subject matter, I have found it good. I am about halfway through.
This show reminded me a bit of Dopesick - another well-made show that illuminates the harsh realities of opioids and drug abuse.
Both of these shows were actually books first; I did not read either book but sort of wish I had because I usually tend to like a book more than a tv reproduction.
Dopesick: Dealers, Doctors, and the Drug Company that Addicted America by Beth Macy
Long Bright River: A Novel by Liz Moore
Also - speaking of Amanda Seyfried, I enjoyed watching this YouTube video where she walks through her makeup routine with Vogue. I appreciated how she mentioned and showed her perioral dermatitis and eczema; it made her feel more real and relatable than celebrities often tend to be.
NEW LAUNCHES:
Greystone Needlepoint is one of my go-to needlepoint shops and they just launched a new batch of chic needlepoint pouches from Walker Valentine. Needlepoint, Applique Monograms, and Liberty Print fabrics = all things we love!
Julia Amory launched new patterns for her Toiletry Sets; I love the brown stripe option.
I find that sometimes Shopbop will get new arrivals before they launch on a brand’s site - for example, this week, I spotted some La Ligne styles I have not seen the brand promote yet, like this Striped Longlseeve in a pretty periwinkle blue (that I promptly ordered!!) and this White Sleeveless Top.
Did you all see that Rebecca Gardner, of Houses & Parties, has a book coming out, A Screaming Blast: Exceptional Entertaining. It does not come out until September but I, of course, quickly pre-ordered a copy!
SALES & PROMOTIONS
Today (Sunday, March 23rd) is the last day of Frame’s 25% off sitewide sale.
I own and love the Le Slim Palazzo in Black and The Ruler.
J.Crew is having a 25% off sale on select linen and cashmere styles through Monday, March 24th. I used the sale as an opportunity to order a few linen pieces I had my eye on:
These Linen Pants in Navy (I own last year’s version in black and love them!)
This Short Dress in Navy (I ordered the ‘Tall’ version because I am 5’11)
These Shorts in Black - I am not much of a shorts gal so I am unsure if I will like these but I wanted to try them!
**I will be sure to report back on my thoughts for these pieces once my shipment arrives.
Tanya Taylor is offering 25% off select spring styles (ends today, Sunday, March 23rd.)
I own their Josephina Dress in Blue Bird - it is a great wardrobe staple that can work for countless occasions!
*Note, I find this runs big due to the knitted top, I suggest sizing down.
Krewe is having a sale on many of their sunglass styles; this Black Coliseum style that I own is included in the sale.
ON INSTAGRAM:
I was in New York for a few days last week for a few appointments, to check in on my renovation and to see a Broadway show.
I shared snippets of my trip on Instagram.
Stay tuned for a quick recap post here on Substack!
On Friday, I wore a chic White Eyelet Blouse from Sezane.
I shared a few products I have my eye on — including Ciele Cosmetics (makeup with SPF), a Raffia Ballet Flat from Margaux, a Pink Suede Bag from Savette, and a Cream Barn Jacket from Barbour.
