New & Noteworthy // 05.17.2025
What I am currently reading, a resource for shopping discounts, a new (to me) home decor brand and more!
Happy weekend!
I hope you all had a good week; if you caught my Instagram stories, you know that it was maybe not my best week…I hurt my foot!
A X-ray on Thursday revealed that I have two fractures in a bone in my foot!!
This means that I will be living it up in a boot with crutches for the next 2-6 weeks…! Candidly, the news about my foot threw me for a bit of a loop and certainly put me in a funk for a little bit. But, such is life! I will get better. I am doing my best to just roll with the punches and continue on.
On the bright side, this means that I have a lot of time for reading, catching up on TV, needlepoint, and more over the next few weeks!
As always, this New & Noteworthy round-up covers a wide range of topics from a new (to me) decor brand to know about, a resource for getting discounts at some of our favorite brands, the book I am currently reading and more.
Thank you for being here!
xo Nan

ON MY BOOKSHELF
I recently finished The Good Daughter by Karin Slaughter.
Before this, I felt like I was in a reading slump for a few weeks, but this mystery quickly swooped me up and got me back in my groove. I would certainly suggest it if you like a good thriller / mystery.
I'm currently about halfway through reading Great Big Beautiful Life by Emily Henry, which is a bit more lighthearted than The Good Daughter, but in a nice way. It’s been a fun and fast read so far!
After this, I am planning to dive into Sunny Side Up by Katie Sturino.
I am such a longtime fan and follower of , so it will be fun to read her first novel.
Also, we all ordered this cookbook, right?
You all know I'm not someone who cooks that much, but I still had to order this anyway because I just love following Meredith on instagram. Maybe it will inspire me to get in the kitchen more.
SHOPPING DISCOUNTS VIA CAKE
Have you all heard of Cake?
I mentioned the shopping app/membership on Instagram this week, but I also wanted to highlight it here.
Basically, it is a great resource for anyone like me (i.e. anyone who shops too often!)
A annual $100 payment gives you membership where you receive 10 ‘Cake Cards’ (gift cards) to spend at some of our favorite brands, including La Ligne, Jenni Kayne, Alex Mill, Frame, YSE Beauty, UBeauty, and many more.
I tested it out (before sharing with you all) because I wanted to personally experience the platform and see if it felt worth it. And you guys, I’m into it! (I always want to save a few dollars wherever I can.)
I use the Jenni Kayne ‘Cake Card’ to save $150 off when I order this cozy cashmere sweater from Jenni Kayne.
And then I saved $100 off a La Ligne order where I purchased this cardigan and these pants (in black crepe.)
Next, I want to use a ‘Cake Card’ to re-stock my favorite tinted moisturizer from UBeauty (which will save me $50.)
To sum it up, if you're like me and shop these brands, I highly recommend signing up for Cake!
*Note: This is not a paid sponsorship, just something I have used and enjoyed. However, if you sign up via my affiliate link, I will receive a small kickback (the same way I do with most of these links!)
NEW (TO ME) DECOR BRAND
How am I just learning about GreenRow? It is home decor brand under the Williams-Sonoma umbrella that focuses on ‘sustainable materials and manufacturing,’ launching back in 2023. They seem to have some very cute things, so its certainly a brand to keep on your radar!
I mean this gingham bed skirt - adorable!
I also love the look of this mirror, this patterned lampshade and this butter dish.
SALES TO SHOP NOW
Net-A-Porter - Private Sale, up to 40% off designer styles
Annoyingly, this sale is not open to everyone (yet), but if you shop at Net-A-Porter often, you probably have access. Just be sure to log in to your account first, and then you should be able to see if you can shop the sale.
I curated my favorite NAP sale finds here!
Some things will sell out, so sorry in advance if styles are already sold out.
I personally ordered these suede ballet flats and this classic swimsuit (I already own this suit in other colors, but grabbed it in classic black.)
I am tempted to go back and possibly place a second order for these blue floral napkins, and perhaps also for these striped cocktail glasses.
Supergoop - 20% off sitewide!
Summer is around the corner, so it is time to stock up on lots of SPF.
You all know I am a crazy SPF person and personally, I prefer to use international SPFs (because they have stronger filters than US versions) but in the end, any and all sunscreen is better than nothing!
I have heard dermatologists say, ‘the best sunscreen is the one that you will wear EVERYDAY!’ and for a lot of people, I think a brand like Supergoop is a great option.
My family keeps this big container in our mud room, its a great way to make sure SPF is easily accessible to everyone in the house.
Fashionphile - 10% off sitewide with code: 26YEARS
This could be a great time to make a big purchase if you have your eye on a chic design bag or the like.
This old Celine raffia bag is chic!
I love the dark green color of this Chanel WOC.
I think this is the same Hermes scarf pattern that my mom has (and you all loved when she wore it in New York back in March.)
NEW LAUNCHES
The leave-in conditioner that I use daily is now available in a new limited edition scent!
Did you see this low block heel from Margaux?
I am tempted to order a pair in the chic Espresso color!
I already own and love their City Sandal block heel - I like to wear them to weddings because it's a super comfortable block heel is one of the few heels I can comfortably wear for hours — I would think this new style should have the same comfort level!
Our favorite chic toothbrush now comes in a chic blue and white stripe. LOVE!
Westman Atelier launched lip pencils!
The last thing I need is more lip products, but you know me….I will probably order one or two to try. I am intrigued by the Petal and Je Reve shades.
Do you all follow Rainey Lancaster on Instagram? She just collaborated with Eddy on an adorable clothing collection - I mean, all the gingham isso fun for summer!
Speaking of collaborations, fun to see this collaboration between Tuckernuck and Studio McGee? I am tempted by this skirt.
I love the look of this chic basket tote from Abby Alley in collaboration with Natalie Borton.
I am so tempted to order one but am actively telling myself I can’t because you all know me, I already own WAY too many raffia/woven bags…!
Just last week I ordered this one (FYI it is huge but in a fun way, perfect as a big beach tote.)
Also this black raffia tote from Alex Mill, so chic! (It remind me of The Row but for a much better price.)
THIS WEEK ON INSTAGRAM
black leather flip flops (I took my true shoe size, 42)
white linen dress (I took my true size, XL)
personalized canvas tote with pockets
mine is the Natural/Dark Olive Green color, size Large, with Long Handles and a Zip Top.
personalized iphone case (under $30)
mine took a little while to ship // maybe 2+ weeks
floral dress (I am in my true size, XL, but could have maybe sized down to a Large, thanks to the smocked back.)
Love your post and the feast of eye candy!😀
Hi Nan, I always enjoys your New & Noteworthy! Green Row is new to me also. Thanks for sharing!
