Easy dresses for the final days of summer, a search for a chic sneaker, new arrivals and sale finds.
I hope you are having a lovely late summer weekend! I can’t believe we are halfway through August and that in some states, kiddos have already gone back to school! I am not ready for summer to end.
This week for New & Noteworthy, I have rounded up my favorite new arrivals and sale finds (as always!), but I am also highlighting a range of easy dresses to wear in the late summer/early days of fall, plus a roundup of sneakers I have my eye on.

Sneaker Search
I am on the hunt for a new pair of sneakers… A style that I can feel comfortable walking miles in, but also chic enough to wear with jeans or a non-workout look.
My usual sneaker choice for this type of outfit is my Supergas - and don’t get me wrong, I still love them I just also want another option.
I take my bigger shoe size in these, a 43.

I also just recently bought these Asics and I like them — they are certainly comfortable and good for a walk (I also wore them while traveling to and from London and to Martha’s Vineyard), but they are just a touch clunky / big, which means I don't love wearing them with jeans…
In addition to wanting a more slim sneaker style - I think I also want a fun pop of color…
Maybe I try this cream/red pair from Nike?
Or this green/brown sneaker also caught my eye.
And then there is this classic Adidas Samba style in chic olive green.
Easy Dresses for Late Summer and Early Fall
While part of me is eager for fall (as we know, I love dressing for the autumn season), I also don't want to wish away the final days of summer. As I hold on to the long, warm summer days, I seem to be reaching for easy, short, flowy dresses.

sizing: runs big, maybe size down. Mine is a size 14 but I think I maybe could have sized down to a 12.
other notes: the dress is not lined but that is fine with me because the material is not at all sheer. The v-neck is a bit low so I simply pinned it slightly.

You all know I swear by their Demi Ballet Flat — so I am very tempted to order these!
Speaking of Margaux - do any of you have their Phoebe ballet flat style? I don’t own this style but I keep seeing reviews that say it's extremely comfortable and great for long days of walking. Now I am starting to wonder if I should add these to my wishlist.
Have you all tried the skincare from Oak Essentials? (a offshoot of Jenni Kayne.)
I have never tried anything but see people mention the brand often — I just saw that they launched a new face mask, The Refining Mask, that is supposed to be extra soothing and help to blur imperfections/make your pores less noticeable. I am tempted to order it to try?
I am often self-conscious of how big I feel the pores are on my nose — right now, the one product I do find that helps with this is this face mask.
One of my go-to body care products is the Buffing Bar from Soft Services - it is an exfoliating soap bar made with superfine sanding crystals compressed within a moisturizing, soothing base. I have keratosis pilaris (“KP”) bumps on my arms, and this is the only product I have ever found that helps soothe and really diminish the bumps.
Soft Services has just launched a new Buffing Bar product this week - the Buffing Bar in Affogato L’Orange - which features the same microcrystals as the original but in a lower concentration, resulting in a gentler exfoliation.

I own this maxi skirt in black, and it is a great closet staple (size down, it runs big. Mine is a size L).
I don’t own a denim shirt and have been eying this oversized style for a while, so maybe now is the time to buy it during the sale.

All my friends who are moms of youngsters tell me that this is their favorite time to stock up on swimsuits for their kids and themselves.
Tory Burch is having a big sale.
While I don't discuss the brand a ton (I’m not a fan of their overuse of their logo) I do think they make high-quality clothing.
This black shirt dress, this fun cardigan, and this brown midi skirt caught my eye.
