A sweater shaver and humidifier recommendation, plus new product launches that caught my eye this week!

I hope everyone is having a nice long weekend!! I am popping into your inbox with another quick edition of New & Noteworthy.
This week, I am highlighting a few of my autumn must-haves: a sweater shaver and humidifier, as well as our usual round-up of new launches and products that caught my eye this past week. Thanks for being here.

SWEATER TLC
The colder temperatures mean we are really in it for sweater season, so while you pull your chunky knits out of the back of your closet, I suggest grabbing your sweater shaver to give your sweaters a little TLC. From my personal experience, almost every sweater will pill over time, regardless of the sweater’s price…so a good de-piller or sweater shaver is a must.
I have two sweater shavers, and both work great for me!
Fabric Shaver from Conair - $8.99
simple, but gets the job done. It is charged by two AA batteries.
Nori Trim from Nori - $59 (also available for purchase on Amazon.)
This was gifted to me by the brand last month and I have loved using it!
It certainly feels a bit sturdier and more elevated than the one I have from Conair. Also, the Nori Trim is wireless and rechargeable via USB-C cord.

HUMIDIFIER SEASON
With it really starting to feel like fall in Maine (the temperatures are suddenly in the 40s and 50s), I realized this week that it was time to pull out my humidifier.

I never grew up using humidifiers, and candidly, I did not really get what they did, but then about three years ago I mentioned to you all (my followers) that my skin on my legs and arms felt so dry that it became itchy and painful, and I asked you all for suggestions to remedies for my dry skin beyond just body moisturizer. You all told me that I needed a humidifier! And so, I took your advice and purchased my first humidifier from Canopy.
And as always, you all were right! Using a humidifier made SUCH a difference not only in my dry skin but also in reducing my lip chapping and eye irritation. Now, three years later, I am a humidifier devotee! I can’t imagine not having one in my bedroom during the colder months. When I am home at my New York apartment, I actually have two humidifiers: one in my bedroom and another at my desk in my little office (just so I can really get all the moisture!)
*sponsored mention but please know I have personally purchased and used Canopy’s Humidifiers for 3+ years, so I was thrilled when they reached out about a partnership.
A NEW MOVIE TO STREAM
Did any of you read The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware?
I know I started the book a few years back, but candidly, I can’t recall if I ever finished it…I certainly did not remember how the storyline ended.
Yesterday, my mom and I watched the movie adaptation with Keira Knightley that just came out on Netflix. We enjoyed it - it was ’t the best movie I have ever seen, but it kept us on the edge of our seats and engaged the whole time…so it is certainly something to add to your list if you are on the hunt for something new to watch.
NEW LAUNCHES
Celisse Nails is a new nail care brand that launched this past week, focused on simple and minimal manicures you can do yourself at home.
I am such a manicure gal, and I actually really enjoy doing my nails myself at home (vs going to the salon), so I am really excited to give these products a try!
Donni launched their Fall Part IV collection, and as always, it is full of chic yet comfortable styles.
Last year I bought a Brown Cotton Cashmere Cardigan from Donni — I just love it and reach for it all the time! It’s cozy, yet not too thick, and it’s just a really great layering piece.I have been telling myself that as soon as Donni launches more sweaters, I would buy another based on what a staple the cardigan has been for me.
So when I saw that sweaters were part of this drop, I quickly ordered this V-Neck Cotton Cashmere Sweater in Navy in my true size XL.
Heather Taylor Home, a great home decor brand out of LA, launched a fun collaboration with The Company Store this week, featuring a range of items from bedding to tabletop and also pajamas for the whole family.
How cute are these red floral dinner napkins and the matching placemats?
And then I also love the patterned shower curtains (that are under $100!)
Hill House launched their Holiday Collection - I have not ordered anything yet but this black and gold Matilda Dress caught my eye, I feel like it could be great for holiday events.
Speaking of holiday events, I am continually adding products to my Event Edit as I see new dresses and items that would be great to wear to holiday parties and events this winter.
The jewelry brand Lizzie Fortunato and the clothing/lifestyle brand Julia Amory collaborated on four pieces of jewelry. A few of the statement pieces have already sold out, but these chic wooden earrings are still available.
I wore the Milano Necklace (sold out) in this Instagram Reel that I shared on Friday. Shop my full outfit here.
My friend, Sadie Loving, launched an adorable collaboration with Darling Loungeware this week. Sadie is the queen of color and pattern, so the products feature fun polka dots and check patterns.
They kindly gifted the Pima Short Robe (mine is size L/XL) and I can report that it is very cozy and perfect for wearing around the house.
And then I also placed my own order and bought the Sadie Dot Everyday Tote because oh my gosh I love how BIG it seems to be!

Spanx launched new denim and corduroy styles this week, and I am so impressed with the Straight Leg Corduroy Style and the Barrel Leg Style. Both styles are so comfortable (with a nice stretch) and feel like they will be the perfect pants to wear this fall and winter.
See me wearing the black Straight Leg Corduroys in this Instagram Reel / shop the full outfit here.
Sizing: if between sizes, size down.
Based on the Spanx size chart, I could be a size XL or 1x, but the XL worked better for me (the pants have a good amount of stretch).
Promo: NANxSPANX for 15% off and free shipping (promo only works 1 time per customer)
As always, I am saving new arrivals that catch my eye to my Shopbop Hearts and you can find more of my favorite things on my ShopMy page.
