Spring Jackets
Three jackets I reach for in the warmer months.

I don’t know about you all but I more or less always prefer to wear a jacket or light layer whenever I can (sue me..my arms are not my favorite.) This, of course, becomes trickier as we get into spring and summer and the temperatures rise. It is expected to be 95° in NYC today!
Additionally, anytime I walk my dog or run quick errands, I like having a pocket for my phone and keys. (I will happily leave my purse at home for a quick errand if I can!) But I never seem to like leggings with pockets which means I really more or less need a pocket in a jacket.
Because of this, I am always on the hunt for easy and lightweight layers that I can wear in these warmer months and I wanted to share a few recent favorites.
Happy shopping / browsing!

Three Spring Jackets:
Technical Hooded Parka from Cos. $199.
This option from Cos feels like the most ‘on trend’ with the popular Nylon Windbreaker / Jacket moment we seem to be having as of late. Originally, I was tempted by this chic red windbreaker/jacket but I just could not justify the high price. Which led me to search the internet and find this Cos option for 1/4th of the price.
With the recycled nylon material this is a nice lightweight layer that I find I reach for when walking my dog or running quick errands.
Sizing: As usual with Cos, I found this nylon jacket to run big. I sized down one full size (to a Large vs my true size XL) and as you can see, the jacket is still oversized on me.
White Gailliot Packable Windbreaker Jacket from TNuck Sport. $198.
This white jacket is the sportiest of the group and the piece I reach for to wear while taking a long walk in the park or to wear during my workouts. I hope that I will also get some wear out of this layer in the summer months while playing tennis.
The nylon material is very lightweight making it ideal for warmer days. (I actually wore this on my dog walk and to my workout earlier today, in 85+° temperatures.)
Sizing: I sized up to a XXL as I did not want the arms to be tight but I think I probably could have taken my true size (XL)
*this jacket was kindly gifted to me from Tuckernuck
Black Tessine Anorak Jacket from Rue Sophie. $298.
Lastly, this cotton/lyocell jacket is the heaviest of the three but still fairly lightweight when it comes to other cotton jackets. This is the longest style, I like how it covers my bum and the added detail of the cinched waist.
I tend to reach for this on slightly chillier days; when the temperatures are in the low 70s or 60s.
Sizing: I bought my true size XL in this jacket and it fits well.
Speaking of jackets, here are a few other styles I own and love:
White Denim Jacket — I love to pair this with a dress. See it in action here.
Sizing: runs big; size down one size. I bought the Large.
Navy Rain Coat - This is my go-to rain coat as of late. It is not too heavy, so it works well for these warmer months. See me in this coat here.
Sizing: Buy your true size, mine is my usual XL.
Seersucker Sport Jacket — I bought this recently and am excited to wear it on the golf course.
Sizing: I bought my larger size (XXL) and am glad I sized up.
Summer Trench - After eyeing this classic (yet lightweight) trench coat for months I finally bought it while I was in Stockholm earlier in the month.
Sizing: This runs big, so I would size down. Mine is a 42 but I maybe could have even bought the 40.
