What's In My Bag

Can I tell you something, I love a pouch! Or really any type of small zippered bag.

Give me a cute patterned zip pouch any day! Maybe its a gift with purchase form a makeup brand or maybe it is something I spent $100 on. I don’t care! I just love them!

I have a whole dresser drawer filled with pouches and bags of various sizes, some might be cosmetic or make up bags while others are leather or raffia clutches. But no matter how you slice it..I probably have too many. BUT I can say that I use them!

I am that girl (aren’t most of us) that loves to have bags within bags. If I am using a big tote bag you can almost guarantee that there are multiple pouches inside.

I always love watching ‘What’s In My Bag’ videos on Instagram. So the other day when I was raving about the Vanity Bags from Biscuit (aka some of my favorite pouches) I decided that I would go ahead and film my own ‘Whats in My Bag’ video!

My Bag: Saint Louis GM Bag from Goyard

• My Goyard is 8+ years old and as you can see it certainly shows some wear and tear after all these years. It was the first designer bag I ever bought and I will say, it was a good purchase because I still love and use it today! Candidly, I do think the price is a bit ridiculous considering it is painted canvas (not all leather) but I think we can all agree that most designer bag prices are ridiculous these days…!

• If I was buying one today I would probably buy resale from Fashionphile or The Real Real. I think Goyard bags with a little wear and tear vs one that is shinny and new…because if it looks too new it sometimes looks fake as there are so many fake versions sold today…

• Someone asked me once about the brown leather bottom corners on my Goyard tote - those are from getting the bag repaired/refurbished at the Goyard store in NYC. After having the bag for about 4-6 years I had a small hole in one bottom corner and the handles were almost broken. In hindsight, I probably did not need to have Goyard repair the bag, I could have just taken it to a different leather repair store, but nonetheless I am glad I got the bag cleaned up. I actually realized the other day that I might need to do this again on the handles.

  • These make such nice gifts (I received them as gifts from a few friends last year!) For this bag in my purse, I popped out the lip blam and now use as a small pill container.

  • I am in my true size, XL, and as you can see its a tad loose in a nice way. So certainly not a fitted cut.

• Ribbed Kick Flair Pants (regular length) from Donni

  • You have seen me RAVE about these on Instagram, they are so comfortable but more chic than leggings or sweats. In this photo I am wearing my pair that is their Regular Length (27in inseam) but they just released a TALL length (29 in inseam) that I promptly ordered and the tall length certainly works better for my height (5’11.)

  • I reach for these so much more than I ever thought I would. They just have such a nice sparkle and are also so comfortable to wear (I’ve worn them to sleep many times!)
