New & Noteworthy // 03.30.2025
This week, we chat about a new podcast I am listening to, great classic tee shirts, self-tanner, and more!
I hope you all have had a lovely weekend! I am a bit delayed on sending this out — I aim to get it out on Friday or Saturday (ideally!) but sometimes life just gets in the way. But here we are, late on Sunday night, with a recap of a few recent favorites.
Until next time, xo
A FUN PLACEMAT
These block print scallop edge placemats caught my eye!
MY GO-TO SELF TANNER
If you have followed me for a while, you know I love a spray tan. It feels a bit ‘BASIC’ to admit this, but it is just the truth. Who doesn’t look better with a tan?! I have never been one to get a good natural tan (instead, I simply burn), so I have never been a sun worshiper, but for the past five years or so, I have been pretty loyal about getting fake tans.
In New York, I go to Sugared and Bronzed (I get shade 2 and wash it off after 3 hours.)
Over the years, I’ve tried at-home self-tanning products, but I have never found one I love. However, now that I am down in Florida and missing my monthly spray tans, I figured it could be a good time to restart my hunt. I’ve tried various products from St. Tropez and Coco & Eve…and neither won me over….
Then I ordered this Dark Mouse from Loving Tan; and you guys, this might be the winner!
It goes on dark but in the best way because that allows you to really see where you have applied the product so you can get an even application with no streaks.
I use the Loving Tan Application Mitt, but I think any application mitt will work.
I don’t find the product to have much of a scent; I hate that fake tanner smell. I leave the product on for 2 hours before washing it off. And then, within the next 8 hours or so, I have a nice (fake!) tan.
The one other self-tanning product I love is the Bronzing Water Face Mist from St. Tropez.
It’s a clear mist that I apply to my face and neck that gives you a perfect glow. I usually spray it on my clean face about an hour before I go to bed so it has time to dry down.

PERFECT TEES
I realized that in the past week, I have worn different tee shirts from Kule multiple times! One day, it was their Striped Modern Long option, and later in the week, it was that same long sleeve in white. Then the next day, I wore their Short Sleeve Modern Tee.
It sometimes feels oddly difficult to find a great t-shirt, but these options from Kule check all my boxes!
I love the lightweight 100% cotton material (but appreciate that the white version is not at all see-through.)
The short sleeve also has a slightly longer sleeve length than you often find, which I think is quite flattering.
When it comes to sizing, I think that Kule can run a touch on the small side. I prefer a looser tee, so I size up one size to a XXL for a looser fit. If you like something more fitted, I would stick with your true size.

READING & WATCHING
I finished watching Long Bright River, which I mentioned last week.
Candidly, I thought the first episodes were better than the last few, but I finished it nonetheless. I don’t like when a show seems to wrap everything up to quickly…
I am still watching The Pitt on HBO. I keep thinking we might be at the season finale, but it seems like we have a few episodes left!!
I watched The Life List on Netflix last night. It is a cute romance movie about a young woman trying to complete her 13-year-old self’s life bucket list. The movie is a touch cringe-worthy at times, and you sort of knew how it would end, but all of that also made it a nice escape. But be prepared, it’s sad at moments; I cried a few times.
As I mentioned on Instagram, I have been enjoying the Demfluenced Podcast with Liz Minnella and Katina Burke. The podcast focuses on the intersection of social media and politics, highlighting the important role that influencers can play in supporting the Democratic party.
NEW ARRIVALS
Aerin launched a pretty blue and green floral pattern with D.Porthault. The last thing I need is another cosmetic bag…but I am tempted nonetheless.
Donni, my go-to brand for comfortable clothing that still feels chic, launched their third collection for spring.
I ordered their Chino Drawstring Shorts to try.
Trask (my favorite chic toothbrushes) launched new colors on their site. I love the new pale blue color.
Promo: NAN15 for 15% off.
Mirth launched new styles to their Indigo Collection.
Promo: NANP15 for 15% off
Westman Atelier’s new blush duos are now for sale - you can shop them directly on the Westman site or at most other retailers.
I ordered the Petal / Biscuit color way to try - stay tuned for my thoughts!
SALES
Select styles from Hill House are currently 20% off with code: SPRING20
Nordstrom’s Beauty Sale (15% off) ends tonight (Sunday, March 30th), but don’t fret if you missed it because Sephora’s spring sale starts on April 4th.

OVER ON INSTAGRAM
I shared an Instagram reel wearing a navy fit-and-flare dress from Staud.
I love an easy, ‘throw-on-and-go elegant dress,’ and this one is just that. I took my true size, an XL.
A few people asked about what colors I liked in the new lip liners from Merit, so I shared more in this Instagram reel.
I am not usually a shorts gal, but on Friday, I wore black denim shorts and my white long-sleeved shirt from Kule. Find the exact products and sizing details here.
I fully leaned into all things preppy with a blue embroidered dress from Asha; see it in action here.
I shared a lovely white dress I ordered from Rue Sophie - I took my true size, XL.
I wore a green baseball hat from Chord on one of my many walks with my dog, Fitz.
I mentioned my new Harriet Silver Watch from March Hare. I swapped out their usual leather strap for this Navy Embossed version.
Promo: NAN20 for 20% off
I also own and love their Kimsey Double Strap Watch in Gold with a Brown Strap. I think March Hare fills such a void in the market for classic, elegant, and well-made watches that don’t cost an arm and a leg!
I received a question about what travel bag I pack on trips if I plan to shop while traveling; this Longchamp Expandable Weekend bag is my go-to!
It folds up small so it can easily fit in your carry-on luggage, but then it can expand to hold a whole lot when you travel back home.
Last week, I ordered a few linen pieces from J.Crew to try; when the shipment arrived, I filmed some quick ‘try-on videos.’ See what I kept and what I returned here.
That is it for this week, as always, thank you for subscribing and following along!
The cut of that mirth dress is the best!!!
Great round-up Nan! I've added both Long Bright River and The Pit to my watchlist now!! They both look good... esp The Pit (as a longtime medical drama fan who needs a fresh show that's not Grey's). Also love and appreciate your openness regarding political culture and dem support <3. Looking into that podcast rec!
